The 10 movie rule looks dumb now he's at 9 but unlike Francis and Stephen he's never done studio slop for money.
I still feel like QT could have a meaningful second half career writing screenplays and novels. But at the same I feel like he would never (again) have another director make a movie off of his creation.
The Pulp Fiction posters were everywhere when I was a kid. I thought it was porn or something like it. My first real exposure to Tarantino, though, was the trailer for Kill Bill when my cousin snuck us in to see Terminator 3. It was so unlike anything I had seen before.
Saw both Kill Bills in the theater when they came out and haven’t watched them since. Will probably see it at the cinema
Like Daniel Plainview, Quentin Tarantino drags Paul Dano Tarantino saying There Will Be Blood could be one of his favorite films of the century if it weren't for Paul Dano is truly one of the worst film takes I have ever seen
Paul Dano had to take that role last minute. He was originally just playing the first brother who sells Plainview the information. He isn't as good as Daniel-Day Lewis, but who is? It is a perfectly fine performance. The worst part of that Tarantino list is putting Black Hawk Down as the best movie of this century. Truly a wild thing to say.
I remember he put out his own Best of 2013 movies list at the end of that year and had The Lone Ranger on there.
Tarantino's movies would be much more enjoyable if he were one of those mysterious directors like Terrence Malick who are rarely seen or heard from between projects or even during their release especially the heard from part of that
And yet the things I learn about Terrance Malick are fun. Like the fact that one of his favorite movies is Zoolander
If QT thinks Paul Dano is the worst actor in SAG, is he implying the he thinks he's a better actor than Paul Dano? If so, fucking lol. Just make another movie dude. Limiting yourself to only 10 movies while you run your mouth non stop is going to hurt your legacy way more than making 20 movies with a couple misses
