He recently said he pulled the plug on this because "it was too similar to Once Upon a Time" and "who wants to watch a movie about a movie critic"

I did, goddamnit. lol

 

Was particularly interested in seeing the scenes from Rolling Thunder that he reshot

 

His incredibly dumb 10 movie rule is going to rob us of a lot of cool movies

 

Yeah that’s a cop out excuse. This seemed like it could be his Fabelmans

 

The only thing about the ten movie rule is that it is not as if the other 9 are all great.

 

Lest we forget the beloved 1990s icon Jay Sherman

 

There is something to be said for retiring with dignity, but more and more directors are making vital films into old age. Martin Scorsese is the gold standard, but Francis Ford Coppola made something as daring as Megalopolis in his-mid eighties. Eastwood is still delivering in his nineties.

 

Tarantino wants to make one last movie and spend the rest of his life following his true passion - podcasting

 

Yeah sure retire whenever you want but limiting yourself to 10 movies is very dumb. He’s going to keep cancelling movies because he doesn’t want it to be his last one.
