this rocked, so fucking funny, also longlegs is good dammit

also, having a preview for your next movie at every one of your movies is king shit

 

Can’t tell if this fell flat for me or if I just saw it with a completely humorless audience lol. It had moments? A lot of subtly funny lines. Once the twin really comes back into the picture it kinda lost me.

Keeper teaser was cool

 

It was nice to see Corey from Halloween ends again

 

Didn’t understand a lot of the “rules” around this film, it kind of lost me.

Also, what was the meaning of the historical looking figure riding the horse randomly ?

 

Man this draaaaaags so much. Much prefer Longlegs

 

Had a few laughs but this was mostly a snore of a movie

the spirit of death leaving the town, or the demon ghost whatever that's inside the monkey who knows

 

I feel like there were points where this felt a little slow (maybe like the second half of the beginning) and also points where I wanted more (the end) but in spite of that I loved it. So much fun overall, not a second where it tries to be anything but silly and awesome.

 

I appreciate that the monkey didn't have an elaborate backstory or any reasoning behind it, no Adam Scott was just a POS who ruined Tatiana's and later Theo's life and this monkey was involved

 

I thought this was fun but nowhere near as good as Longlegs.

 

#2 at the box office with $14.2 million. Pretty solid for a indie horror movie with no big stars.

I watched The Monkey in the cinema earlier today and I enjoyed the fuck out it, I did laugh a bunch of times, Theo James was brilliant and the kills were insane but not mean spirited!!

I loved the teaser trailer to Keeper as well.. very different to The Monkey and Longlegs I think

 

I was legit surprised about the Adam Scott cameo at the start, I had zero clue beforehand and when he popped up I was like oh shit!!

 

Probably the hardest I laughed was the hard cut to the uncle’s funeral portrait

 

Oh and the masturbation joke early when the shitty brother finds the raunchy playing cards

 

Absolutely atrocious, reminded me of COCAINE BEAR (extremely derogatory)
