Seeing mixed reviews for this. Seems like people who were skeptical of Longlegs will probably hate this, and its fans will probably enjoy this.
Interesting, I feel like I'm getting the opposite vibes lol it seems like this will be intentionally silly, where as I feel like what holds Longlegs back is its desire to be taken seriously while obviously being pretty silly/over-the-top, to the point that it's inconsistent and convoluted. I am mostly just hoping this sticks to one vibe and isn't overwritten (the marketing makes it seem like it's going to be very knowingly dumb, bloody fun)
Thanks! I was going to try to go an early screening Wednesday night but if I can get in Monday, even better.
as an lh (longlegs hater) i went into this with incredibly low expectations. ended up having a blast. funnier than i thought it would be (genuinely don't think there was a single person at my screening who didn't laugh when the aunt ran into the for sale sign (rip)). he's a lot better at ripping off final destination than he is at ripping off silence of the lambs. wish more dumb 'generational trauma is traumatic, generationally' horror movies knew how to have fun with it like this or smile 2*
I wish I could see a single bit of praise for this that doesn't involve also shitting on Longlegs. honestly just bums me out a little lol still looking forward to seeing this next week
Brie says in that clip that the Together teaser will appear before the movie plays, so I wouldn’t assume that’s it. Though she also may have misspoke because I can’t remember the last time a director went out of their way to film a video for Twitter to announce the theatrical premiere of a trailer lol
Fair point, but NEON really only has that or Perkins’ next film to tease, but I don’t know if that’s nearly as ready. But yeah I shouldn’t assume.
