Was thinking once we got mods down, would it be worth it to make them the op of sports threads and have a little blurb about treating each other better and doing better in general from the CoC in the OP's? we also had a supporters table in the op of soccer thread so we could keep up with who was in the thread

 

Are the sports threads all that bad? NHL thread has gotten a lot better over the years. Haven't seen an issue in a long time.

 

Maybe not as bad as they used to be, we were having a conversation the other day about how to stop them getting as bad as they were.

 

I see a lot of shit happen in the NFL thread(s) at ap. That's why I quit posting in them as much.

 

I think it is most important to have the mods introduce themselves in the thread and let people know what to expect and how to conduct themselves accordingly. Warnings should be addressed via PM first to let offenders know they messed up. Points would follow afterward. Some people get riled up and don't even realize the shit they are saying when it comes to sports.

Only thing is, most people never read the op in a sports thread. They just jump right into the middle of wherever the thread is it.

 

We can put a banner on the side of the forum.

"We know your favorite team is better than X's favorite team. Don't be a dick. Be respectful and enjoy the thread... Or else!"

 

have that as a permanent draft haha

 

Maybe a green bar at the top or bottom of the page as a reminder who the mods are for the particular section of the forum you are viewing at that time
