I want Dom to be a mod. Can we make him a mod plz?

 

I think we all want Dom to be a mod, except for David who he will permaban

 

and anyone who thinks that Dom is racist

 

Tempting Dom to ban me would be fun.

but actually seriously the issues we've raised in this thread are big and are making people use the site less

I'm trying to be more cognizant so I can try to make people less uncomfortable, it's tough because constantly witnessing microagressions has made it tough for me to realize when they're happening

 

Perhaps it's because I'm not as cognizant as I should be but where are these things taking place the most at?

 

I'd ban you from every thread related to you. It'd be like a little death, I'm sure.

 

Yeah, that isn't a legitimate excuse. It is like seeing so much racism, you can't not be racist or castigate racists.

More than fair to say that. However, I tend to not stray far from places I post so I'm not as aware as I should be, so I ask because I give a shit and I want to know more.

broad answer: all over the site

more specific answer: the general politics thread and any other "random" chat -based threads are where a majority of our reports come from

 

I see, pretty clear then that I didn't really pay attention to that as I should have since I frequent those threads. That's on me.

 

So what's happening with these concerns? Are people being PMed about it or what? Or are people just going to ignore this and move on? I personally think this is a big deal bc we're slipping back towards AP and that's really going to suck.

 

yeah i mean joking aside this is real important and we're slowly watching the colors of this site go back to maroon and white.

more diverse mods, enforcement of rules, and calling out the bigotry and hostility that goes on should be at the forefront of everyones minds. I love this site, im a supporter for a reason, and I want us all to do better.

Has a finalized list ever been published of who moderators are? I haven't seen one and I'm just trying to contact a sports forum moderator to close an old season thread.

 

I don't think so but you can always just report a post and it will be sent to all of us, and then we can decide who should own the follow up
