Pressing play on this now. The singles were okay and I came around to them but didn’t whelm me like stuff from the last record. Let’s see how I feel about the whole thing.

“Brooklyn. Friday. Love.” is a goddamn hit. Played it four times on my run today.

  4. Easily my favorite from these guys. What a great album.

I’ve listened to all the singles leading up this album and have enjoyed each song. I’ll listen to the full album over the weekend.

To me it’s their least 80’s/synthwave-sounding album, which is why I got into the group in the first place. But glad it’s bringing in a whole new generation of fans

Yeah this is good but less synth-wavy which is what I like the most. The 80’s alt rock stuff is fine though. I’ll have to spin this a bunch more to get a solid opinion.

First play through, I really enjoyed it. Usually takes me 3-4 full listens for me to form a true opinion.

Yup I've istened to this like 5 times now and I'm on the same boat as you.

It's definitely not as "synthwave/retrowave" as their other albums but this is all my fav things (80s synthpop) about The Midnight on an album turned up to 11.

  11. Been sick this week but stoked to get this playing in the car

A Place of Her Own might be the best song these guys have ever made.

Imo, I still contend this is the best track the band has ever released

  15. I wasn’t super familiar with Sunset or Jason before I saw them live. Seeing those in a live setting created core memories and they shot way up on my list of favs

Heroes has less of what I loved about them but new stuff I love from other bands. I think the album is great for diversifying their live set list and expanding their appeal. Solid record, but Monsters is still king for me.

    seeing them tonight I'm stoked
