My sister had some of these books when I was growing up so I’d read them because I was always enticed by the covers and had an unhealthy interest in wanting to scare myself. I’m really excited by this because of Flanagan, and this interview is a really good read about how Flanagan and Leah Fong chose to adapt it:

Thought the next Flanagan project we were getting was Fall of the House of Usher, so I’m certainly excited about this.

 

I have never been sold on Flanagan, and I don’t know these books, but I am all about the premise and will definitely be watching this.

Forgot this existed and I can’t wait. I’ve loved everything I’ve seen from Flanagan and all the Christopher Pike books messed me up terribly as a kid, so this should be truly devastating to me personally.

Really liking this so far, 3 episodes in. A teen show is like my ideal setting for a Flanagan project.

 

Midnight Mass was last year's best series imo. Excited for another Flanagan October!

 

5 episodes down and aside from finding a couple of the “stories” a little dumb, I’m enjoying this.

 

Yeah haven't loved all the stories but other than that it's been great so far

 

On the second episode and doesn’t this take place in 94/95? My dude out here talking about Radiohead songs from 97.

 

This is fine enough through 2 episodes. But if I’m being honest Anya is kind of annoying

 

I was very annoyed by Anya at first too but she gets better

One episode left. Same thoughts as before, mostly enjoying it but some of the stories don’t really land for me
