There is a TBA release on his site right now numbered "ELV042", and it isnt the live album coming out


Id be pretty surprised if it was the D+ album as i feel he usually only numbers his Microphones / Mount Eerie / solo stuff as "ELV"... it also could be a reissue. but who knows!

Since the new one was announced, I thought it would be the perfect time to go back and listen to all The Microphones old stuff. I'd listened to The Glow, PT. 2 and most of Mount Eeries stuff ,although not keen on some of his work in the past 2/3 years. Mostly because what I have heard is devastating stuff and i'm never really in a mood for that. Plus I like it when he gets LOUD and goes all in on the studio effects.

But yeah, just wanted to say that some of the distorted drums at the beginning of The Glow, PT. 2 is exactly what I like Phil doing most.

 

the drums on No Flashlight might be my favourite drums like ever lol

 

I want more music that sounds like "I Want to Be Cold".
