Is this sort of thing surprising anymore in metal? Meanwhile, Linkin Park is more "hard rock" and so every mainstream person shits their pants over the frontwoman possibly being a scientologist.

 

Well, there is a lot more to it all but yes, nothing should be surprising anymore. Including the fact that Brand New thought it was a good idea to plan a US tour.

 

Can't believe I'm going to get into a semantics argument about a terrible band, but calling the Kublai Kahn frontman a Nazi is a hell of a stretch. He's just a right leaning dude with some MAGA-coded beliefs based on what I've read. It's still arguably pretty dangerous considering they have much more of a mainstream audience than any hard Nazi stuff will ever get nowadays and can be a gateway into more right wing shit, but it's not enough to get the band booted from shit.

There's actual NSBM and punk out there that makes KKTX look like baby's first right wing larping experience in comparison so my schema for these things is different.

I saw them open for Gatecreeper completely blind and I loved them. Sadly, I don't really like the recorded stuff too much, but I'd see them live again for sure.

 

Oh! I love them on record and live. They are pretty much a modern day Bolt Thrower which kicks ass. The front man has so much personality.
