Now that I reflect a bit, it feels a bit more same-y throughout, compared a bit to the previous album, which had slightly more variety on its tracks. But it still pummels you with riffs.

 

Gonna peep the new Thou album. What else is essential to check out? I think I’ve listened to one other Thou album back in, like, 2020 and I don’t even remember what it was

Heathen is their magnum opus but Magus is great too. All the EPs and splits and covers are great too though. Algiers is a must listen to compilation. Their first albums like tyrant, peasant and summit are also great as is early stuff like Oakland. Just dig in lol they’re the most prolific sludge band on earth
