My barber plays guitar in this band haha. Nicest dude ever and goddamn does his band rip.

 

Just the other day I realized I missed their album from late last year and gave it a listen. Sounded great

 

it’s good! I can do entirely without the singing tracks but the rest is awesome.

 

You know, as much as one ought not to judge books by their covers, sometimes I can just look at an album's cover art and just know in my heart of hearts it's about to fucking rip.

I do think there's something to that from time to time - a band with a really striking cover art usually suggests they have a pretty clear vision for what they want their music to sound like and the vibe they're aiming for. Sure, sometimes you get lazy bands who just happen to have the resources to commission a badass Par Oloffson piece for an album that ends up being generic and boring but more often than not I find the inverse is true.

 

I add random albums from the metal category on Apple Music based on album art all the time and I’m rarely disappointed and have even found some of my fav albums that way

 

Theyve closed with Five Years every time Ive seen them and its been perfect. The outro goes insane.

 

Went and saw In Flames last night at a 1000 person club. They played for an hour and a half. Good mix of old and new, they crushed it and sounded amazing. Creeping Death ruled as usual. Gatecreeper sounded great musically but the vocals weren’t loud enough at all.

 

How'd the new Gatecreeper material sound live?

 

it all sounded amazing, you could tell the crowd didn’t know who they were when they started and got very into them as the set moved on. Just his vocals were very very low.

 

Andrew is leaving Fuming Mouth, which is weird cause he was the only actual member. The other two gentlemen are continuing on, but didn’t say who was replacing him.

 

Mark has been the only constant in their existence, and most of the other guys (sans Andrew) were rotating, I’m sure they’ll be fine
