Totally agree and this one seems to be headed down a similar path. Looking forward to jamming it in the spring and summer.

didn’t realize a new thantifaxath album came out last year though I’m sure someone posted about it at the time, but I saw someone from some band (blood incantation maybe?) talking about it on twitter and checked it out. good shit.

 

also some good recent blackened thrash I believe @theagentcoma posted them on a thrash Thursday last year when the single dropped

Stare Into Death and Be Still was the apocalyptic soundtrack to the very first lockdown for me. Can't listen to it without being transported back to that time. Will be hard to top but they keep getting better

 

not to be that guy, but they've been a band since 2002 without a long break. seven albums over 22 years ain't a surprising clip.

Listened to Demolition Hammer’s Epidemic of Violence for the first time today, and almost immediately is one of my favorite metal records ever. This is exactly how I want my thrash to sound.
