MIKE PORTNOY Rejoins DREAM THEATER

 

It's probably sacrilege as a professed progmetal fan, but I cannot stand James LaBrie's vocals. I can appreciate DT for pushing the genre, but they are... not my cup of tea. My drummer friend loves Portnoy though, so that's cool for him.

I might put them above counterparts at this point. Really tough call because I adore counterparts but I think his lyrics and delivery are on another level in this project and with Putney backing him musically there’s something special clicking
