starting THRASH METAL THVRSDAY early this week because I forgot to do it last week and today is slooowwwwww

Let us begin with the new album from California based thrashers Tormentor, Principles of Oppression. Draws similarities to Havok because of the sick ass bass lines but minus the cringy lyrics. Came out July 11th on EBM Records, which seems to put out nothing but thrash records:

Next, I'm sharing a video for the single "I Am the One" by Grecian thrash band Amken. This band came up on shuffle after I finished listening to the above album and I really like their sound, also reminiscent of Havok but I favor this Greek brand of aggression:

Lastly I've got a 25 minute EP by New Hampshire based thrashers Epicenter. Definitely my favorite of the 3 things I'm posting today. Leans towards the tech side of things, which is always nice:

Finally got around to listening to the new Fugitive tracks since I've been on vacation, and I like both of these more than anything on Maniac.

 

Yesterday I listened to that new Sarpa EP, progressive/avant garde/black metal, it's fun

 

I had no idea Knights of the Abyss was a thing again until about 5 minutes ago.

Just got out of BTBAM.. good show tho I was kinda shocked at how low the turnout was.

 

After dropping a Sadness split 2 days ago, Damiàn has released 3 Trhä EPs

Yes, well actually I live in Midland so if I wanna see any shows in Texas I'm driving at least 5 hours.

Curious what the attendance looks like tonight in Dallas, we might have had 400-500.

I was supposed to go to the BTBAM show but for Thank You Scientists but ended up not being able to. My friend said it was a packed show and a lot of people were there for Rivers which was dope
