If I were a betting man, I'd say an announcement of a physical release for the live record they put out during COVID because of this message I got from the Power Trip bandcamp page last week:

"LAST CALL! POWERTRIP "Live in Seattle: 05.28.2018" digital album will temporarily come down off of Bandcamp and streaming platforms on Thursday, March 30, 2023.
If you purchased the album (or plan to purchase), please be sure to grab all of your files by Thursday.

Originally released in June of 2020 as way of saying thank you to all supporters, friends, and allies over the years, "Live in Seattle" also served to offset some of the living expenses of the band and their crew after having all scheduled shows and tours cancelled upon the onset of the of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The album will now go to Southern Lord to fulfill the band's recording contract obligations and will see physical editions of the release available for the first time. Look for the various offerings from SL shortly.

Massive thanks to everyone who supported this special album over the past few years!"

THRASH METAL THURSDAY YOU HOOLIGANS

I apologize for my absence last Thursday. Unsure how this thread managed to stay alive a whole week without TMT (wake up babe new acronym just dropped). I knew my faith in the trveness of this thread was not misplaced.

First up we have the 2nd album from Hellcrash, an Italian black/speed band. I know speed =/= thrash but often the two go hand in hand. I'll be honest this one wasn't exactly my cup of tea, as it's akin to a lo-fi speed style reminiscent of early Venom, but if that's your thing then you'll love this. No bandcamp and their Youtube channel is empty so a Spotify link it is:

Next we have another new album from Hot Graves (lol), a Death/Black/Thrash Metal/Crust band from Florida. Their very first demo in 2008 is called 'D-Beat Death Dirge' so yeah, they bring the D-beats. Album came out barely a week ago and it's fun as hell:

And lastly, to commemorate the loss of Jim Durkin (guitarist of Dark Angel, who recently passed away), I'm just posting Darkness Descends as a whole. Amazing album from one of the most influential thrash bands ever. The riffs just don't end with this band. Rest in power, Jim. "Death is certain, life is not."
