Yeah, not that great of an album but the Clansman is pretty good.

I would love X Factor up a little more today personally

really love a matter of life and death. i'm not sure when this band got so hot on so many 8+ minute tracks on an album but i'm okay with it lmao

Got tickets to Antichrist Siege Machine/Miasmatic Necrosis/Thantifaxath/Killing Pace in RVA in a couple weeks. Stoked to actually eek in a metal show before the end of the year.

I'm jealous, man. My wife is pregnant so I'm trying to avoid indoor crowds, but I really wanted to go to this one.

This is only my fifth show this year so I'll take them whenever I can get it...I've been lucky enough to at least see Converge twice this year so this year has been a win regardless.

This yours and your wife's first?

Good luck, enjoy it, and cherish the time when they are young. My wife and I just had our second in February and have a three year old too. It's simultaneously been on of the most exciting and terrifying times of my life. It's also flown by way too quickly.

Thanks dude! Definitely appreciate the advice and please keep it coming because I'll take as much as I can get lol.

On a more metal-related note, I'm already working on a battle jacket for the little dude because I'm dumb like that.

    Most played “metal” album was
Counterparts - AEFTSH according to AM.

Not the biggest surprise as I didn’t really get caught by a lot of Metal releases this year, but also well deserved as they absolutely crushed it on the newest.

some of my favorite metal of the year:

    wake
    liminal shroud
    fit for an autopsy
    counterparts
    end & cult leader
    conjurer
    wormrot

what else is essential listening from this year? ive probably heard but forgotten a decent amount
