I was super impressed with Maybe One Day. But the whole album as a whole is very good and flows perfectly.

This is really good. He sounds just like Corey and those drums?!
If you had told me this was something off of the first two Slipknot albums, I wouldn’t argue that.

Not to be super crass and normally I roll my eyes at celeb drama but I have to say there's something supremely gross in a kinda subliminal and poetic way about MGK, who is basically openly a pedo given the colorful things he's said about teenage girls, coming at Corey Taylor, who is a CSA survivor (he talked about it on an episode of The Therapist).

So yeah fuck MGK all the way.

 

Sometimes I overcorrect and listen to Mournful Congregation like I am this morning to remedy everything. This track in particular is a treat:

This single is everything. It's a perfect blend of both Chelsea Wolfe and downtempo Converge. I am so excited for this album.

I finally got around to the new Employed to Serve album and it exceeded all my expectations. Just heat for 50 straight minutes.

Bleak one-man black metal project out of Ukraine.

 

Iskandr, dutch atmo BM duo (a guy from Fluisteraars, one from Turia)

 

Came across some absolutely balls-to-the-wall brutal-death that features, surprisingly, no guitars. Just vocals, bass and drums, Thecodontion style. I'd almost call this progressive brutal death? There are a ton of jazz-y moments throughout. Quite an interesting listen.
