After dinner I'll spend the night with the Nothing/Integrity split and the Decibel stream.

 

I'm having fun with the Gojira album. It's not great, but it's hitting the spot.

 

You gotta love the mind of a 9 year old. Nice review. I will say that the drumming on this is great and I love his description of “train tracks”. Their favorite tracks were mine as well.

 

FYI, The Decibel thing is doing a pre-show right now with Converge, Pig Destroyer, Repulsion, Municipal Waste, Tombs and Evoken. It's their 100th issue show from 2013

I caught the end of it because I was watching Two Minutes to Midnight

 

currently listening to the bandcamp/RYM hypetrain album Pale Swordsman by Këkht Aräkh. It sounds like classic black metal from the 90s.

that Trhä ep is also trending, raw black metal dungeon synth done in a unknown language by a mysterious identity (could it be another project from the dude behind Sadness ?)

 

Full of Hell is up next!!!

 

Khemmis was cool but the vocals are a hard sell. Midnight is great!

been watching the Doughboys stream but I think I'm gonna put on Full of Hell and Khemmis now

 

I don’t know where Church Road finds these bands but it’s just banger after banger. These guys are mathy, metallic hardcore that dabble in crusty black metal as well. Nuckin Futs!!! Also, the singer reminds me of Mike from All Out War.

 

LOVE this album. Although, it’s beautiful and sunny today and this is not that.

 

Not really metal but I think this is a good place for it. California based band that is fronted by Tony Hawk’s son Riley. They are like punk meets fuzzed out stoner rock/grunge. FFO Nirvana, Misfits.
