How’s the guitar tone on the new Gatecreeper? The tone on the last album was so damn good.

 

it's not that I couldn't wait the 11 hours lol, it's just sitting here, so I might as well listen now. also it's only like 18minutes long.

guitar tone is kinda similar to the first record, but they turned the HM2 down a little this time so it's not quite as buzzsaw-y. the bass is kinda (too) high in the mix. could be the copy I have though... (for the first 7 tracks)

 

And the best names too

 

Been on the biggest Type O kick the past week or so....

What's the threads consensus on what their best album is???

I could never get into them, but I haven't tried since like 08 when I saw them with Hatebreed. Maybe I'll give Bloody Kisses a shot.

Side A of Gatekeeper really reminded me of Carcass, just solid ass death grind.

 

Hell yeah been trying to pump these guys up for years.

 

That opening riff on gatecreeper. Let’s loop that for five mins.

 

My two favorite tracks currently are Amputation and Emptiness. Honestly, the whole thing is solid front to back.
