    I don't know why I never gave them a chance. They kept putting out records and I never had the desire to listen. I know the singer had the radio rock stuff which I am familiar with but I was fine not going back and listening to slipknot (oh well)

    If someone showed me any slipknot now I'd probably not enjoy it. Back in the early 2000s as an angsty teenager, it clicked. Nostalgia alone is enough for me to enjoy it.

    I was shown the negative one from .5 as "slipknot is good again" and was very underwhelmed / indifferent. Never gave the last one a shot, first 3 albums still go

    Missed the slipknot convo but honestly, Iowa is still my favorite and Left Behind remains my most played track. But I know that’s one of their lesser popular tracks.

    one of the big things in metal for me this year was rediscovering doom metal & growing my doom collection with some of the best the genre has to offer

    I’m spinning Reverend Bizarre’s first one right now & the riffs are monumental - v cool band

    I’ve also spent a lot of time with Tiamat’s Wildhoney this month - what a unique & magical album! it’s almost a mix of early 4AD bands & doom with some Pink Floyd solos thrown in the mix - quite special!
