Catching up on stuff I missed this year. Kvelertak 's 1985 is a hell of a track.

okay yeah, Darkest Hour are back. Fuck yes, leave that Sumerian shit in the dust.

(full disclosure though I still enjoy most of that album, to a degree)

 

My favorite metal/rock track of the year

 

to me their last truly great record was deliver us. theyve had some trouble generating that spark since kris left but it sounds like they're back on track

 

Man this Ash Borer album is fantastic. Grey Marrow, and the two instrumental tracks are some of the best metal I've heard all year.

 

Never checked out Pallbearer before. Where's a good place to start?

 

they have two albums....so the first one...and then the second one. lol. their EP this year is good too

 

Deliver us also had some amazing riffs and solos. And I definitely agree about losing Kris, dude was pretty creative.

I have only two issues with the new track. Obviously there's a big godcity sound to it which isn't bad, but at times I feel like this is a ETID track lol. And the solo didn't really move me.

It's a very fun track, a nice throwback but it doesn't make me think of them at their prime (undoing ruin/deliver us).

Ok guys clearly I said never listened to Pallbearer meaning I have no idea how many albums/eps they have. Tons of bands that are rec'd in here are like seven albums deep. I.e. Neurosis, Mastodon, Baroness etc
