I never dl leaks anymore. Usually the rate at which things are on streaming now I just wait

 

They could’ve done a surprise album release at midnight of my birthday and that would’ve been just as good.

Probably gonna hold off on this one until Friday. Between all of the other stuff I need to catch up on now that I'm back in the office 3 days a week, I have enough to hold myself over.

I definitely bought a Full of Hell noise cassette box set tonight even though I don't currently have a working tape player. Whoops.

 

Just finished my first full stream of Ultraviolet. Really great work. Jesse’s vocals have this cold snap to them that always stood out to me and it’s front and center here. Lyrically, I enjoyed having some of his parts circle back around and getting the understanding of the album title without it being too on the nose. Some Dreams put a knot in my throat while reading along.

It’s a stand alone album much like every other album they’ve done which I also love. If I had to compare relative similarities to another album of theirs it’d probably be Controller, which happens to be my least favorite from them. Though I like this album a lot more already.

If you’re just looking for the most technical song-writing they’ve done this round, Old Ghosts into The Fall is an intense one-two combo.

 

I think it’s the most “melody-conscious” album they have ever done. Balancing the perfect amount with aggression is not an easy task.

 

Definitely felt Controller vibes as well

 

Glad I didn’t listen to any of the singles. This is great thus far

 

Echoing the serious Controller vibes from the new Misery Signals album. It hits hard, though not as hard as it probably would've ten years ago for me.
