As a very casual death metal fan I think that those 5 bands should be standard. I know decapitated has their issues currently but their older stuff was ahead of it's time.

Not gonna disagree with that assessment at all. It's a quick album with no filler that doesn't waste any time getting to the point, which is something I greatly appreciate nowadays.
