Unhallowed and Miasma will always have a place in my heart

That being said I haven't really listened to them since those two albums

 

I have a soft spot for them because they are the band that got me into two of my favorite genres, being black metal and death metal. I know The Black Dahlia Murder is not black metal but still they got me into more extreme music.

 

So maybe I’m not the big fan I thought I was? I just read online apparently roughly a year ago Misery Signals had sold a limited 7” at some shows with 2 tracks on it. They’re actually tracks they recorded with Karl I’m assuming during the Absent Light days. One of which is the “new” track they’ve been playing live (Sunlifter) that we thought was written with Jesse. The semi-ok quality rips are here:

 

There's a new Lamb of God single out that dripped out there for any enterprising individuals who want to look for it. It'll be out officially in the states tomorrow.

It sounds like what you'd probably expect from Lamb of God in 2020. It's pretty good and also weird to listen to someone other than Chris drum for them.

 

The new drummer is from Winds of Plague. I think he could really bring something new to the table.

 

Based on the single, Art's work is good, but not outside the typical LOG lane. It's good enough to make me somewhat excited for the album.

 

hopefully it's better than the last few records. I was a big fan of everything pre-Sacrament, thought Sacrament was fine, then didn't care for much after.

 

Yo that Panopticon/Nechochwen split is legit.

Ray Harkins interviews Scott Lee who ran the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival among other things.

He also started 1126 records which put out the Vatican record from last year and he just signed IAM.

Seems like a good guy.

 

In things I missed from last year, the Cianide EP is amazing if you're in the mood for some gritty OSDM.

 

Yeah I can tell by the art alone that I'll be into that

There's a lot going on in this song, so will take a few listens to get a true feel for it
