I recall going into a tour thread on here and people were like “Are they really that big?” Like they’re one of the biggest bands in Europe

 

It wouldn't surprise me if the were the most popular band altogether in Germany

 

That would be The Scorpions or David Hasslehoff

 

New Monuments vocalist seems to fit their sound pretty well.

 

I'm enjoying the new Svart Crown singles

New Mare Cognitum and Spectral Lore split/collab coming March 13th:

 

Poppy's new album, and seeing Slipknot next week (with Behemoth as openers), both are getting me back to metal. Lately I've been revisiting many bands I haven't heard in too long: Meshuggah, Will Haven, In Flames, Soilwork, Gojira, Darkest Hour, Amorphis, Katatonia...

I'm going to find out what Behemoth's like next. There are many subgenres I'm still unfamiliar with so I'm ready to broaden my tastes. I want to get into death metal, prog, and black metal more thoroughly instead of sticking to the same bands. I guess that's my main music goal for this year.

just 48. This REALLY SUCKS.

I love his work on FOCUS.

just watching this interview with him makes this even more sad.

Cynic as a band is sometimes heavily underrated in terms of the depths of their influence. They were doing stuff in the 90s that took almost 20 years to get into the mainstream.

Cynic is incredible, they were so far ahead of their time. Probably why it took them like 25 years to release a second album lol

Lotta good tours getting announced today: Napalm Death/Aborted/Tombs/ WVRM, Horrendous/Cloak, Spectral Voice/ Krypts. The fucking Chicago show has Horrendous/Spectral Voice/Krypts/Cloak on it, and for the first time in a while, I'm legit pissed I moved away from the Midwest.

 

I’m glad that now that Fubar in STL is closing and Red Flag is opening across the street, more bands are starting to come play here again. ND is playing there and the BTBAM anniversary tour is going there too.
