Honestly, yeah, I kind of actually love it, like, a lot. If only because it's what would happen if me and my best friend did a DBZ fusion dance.

At this show right now. The last band played and show was supposed to be over and then... they announced that Creeping Death would be playing a surprise set!!!!!!!!!!

That show last night was something else. Packed out in a tiny DIY art studio. EVERY band just cruuuuushed. Sangsa-ooga-boogie (sp?) was heavy as fuck. Frozen Soul always put the locals in a frenzy. Kombat and Imperial Slaughter killed. Then Creeping Death showing up and playing a handful of songs at the end of the night was just a cherry on top.

I almost skipped it since it was a Wednesday night, all local bands that I've seen a dozen times (except for Sanguisugaboog who only have 10 minutes of material anyway) and the venue was 40 minutes from home, but I'm really glad I went. I'd always go out of my way for a Creeping Death set, but even without them, the show ruled.

 

Dope grind band with cool samples.

 

It's a Nightfall in Middle Earth kinda morning for me

 

I remember when I jokingly suggested that "Nightfall in Middle Earth" be our prom theme senior year, and it actually getting on the whiteboard to be voted on because the nerdy class vice president liked it. It didn't win.

And then I didn't go to prom, but that's a different story.

I just don't think I could justify the travel costs + tickets to see Rammstein at this point in my life. I had enough of a hard time justifying spending $50 for a single day of United Blood to see Converge when my son starts daycare this week.
