I liked this more than expected, I think you will too

Did not expect a track like this from Polyphia, it's got vibes of their bro-chill-prog but random power-metal wankery too

    Great brutal death from Japan

There's been new infant annihilator out for a month and I'm only now seeing this.

    new album, good

More brutal tech death bands need cephalopod bowling in their cover art

Cannibal Corpse, Thy Art is Murder, Perdition Temple and I AM tonight.

I'm really only going for I AM, but I guess I'll stick around and at least catch Thy Art. I've never been huge into Cannibal and I've already seen them half a dozen times or more. Is Perdition Temple any good?

They're the odd man out on that lineup, but I'm a fan.

I always forget how old terrorizer is. My personal favorite grindcore band, I'd argue top american grindcore act.

Comes out Friday on Closed Casket Activities. Igor Cavalera and Wayne Adams. Dylan from Full of Hell is on the second track.

Industrial/Wall of Sound type stuff. Very good.

Good lord I am so behind on all the new releases. I doubt I'll ever catch up at this rate.

Same. Life and getting really into a Motorhesd kick over the past few weeks has really set me back.

I kind of wish I wasn't so obsessive about trying to keep up with current releases because I listen to shit I'm only mildly interested in, that I probably won't ever want to return to, just because it's new and I'm trying to "knock it off the list" - In the meantime, I'm neglecting old stuff I missed out on, and not really ever getting a change to give new stuff that I actually am into, more time to really sink in.

What does everyone use to check out to find new releases? So far, I use here, lambgoat and theprp.

I’d say here, social networks by following certain bands/members/labels I’m interested in, and the articles my google home page recs me from sites I bookmarked.

I used to do this, but I learned to just stick to genres and labels that I'm already into. I don't really go out of my way to listen to stuff that is really off my radar. I used to keep lists and ratings with comments and everything haha. I was in deep.

These days I'm cool if I can round out a solid top 10 for the year. I would rather give repeat listens to a handful of great releases than do a cursory listen of a bunch of stuff.

I follow labels on and the metal tag on bandcamp, stuff gets added daily. Also this guy from Shreddit keeps a great up-to-date playlist of new stuff on Spotify that is updated on a weekly basis:
