Anyone ever hear of the band, Burn In Silence?

They only released one album "Angelmaker" back in 2006, but here we are 10 years later and I'm spinning it again, and I still love it A LOT.

 

I'd say more death than black but this an otherwise apt description haha. Reminds me more of something like Diocletian or Teitanblood, that whole "war metal" thing where it's just a relentless noisy onslaught that takes a few spins to truly decipher.

 

It's like 2008 all over again

 

Yeah. There are certain bands that do this sort of sort pretty well like the ones you mentioned, but that track is just a bit too lo-fi for my tastes to listen to consistently.

I've been meaning to listen to Mare Cognitum for a while, their name keeps popping up. Seems good so far.

But man, that bio is something else.

"'Luminiferous Aether' is a mere fragment of a larger contemplation of humanity's state, a reflection of its current position where it finds itself surrounded on all sides and even threatened from within," explains Californian multi-instrumentalist Jacob Buczarski, MARE COGNITUM's sole member. The resulting rumination is a binary lamentation and musing on both whether or not and from where we can find hope, and also an investigation into what compels the human spirit to conquer the insurmountable, and to change in a deeper way than the catalyst of evolution would seem to spur."

One man band artists typically are nuts on some level, especially the black metal ones.

It's decided. I'm going to get a Bolt Thrower back patch for my battle jacket.

Check out Phalloplasty. It's a one man slam band and it's brutal as hell.

 

At least Memoriam is a thing now. New band from Karl and the former drummer of Bolt Thrower. It ain't bad. And they're supposedly recoriding their Nuclear Blast debut soon.

 

Apparently this is coming out in February.

Here's a demo of a track that's getting put out on a Decibel flexi this month. So freaking heavy.

 

I own a battle jacket as well, my only stipulation is before I put on a band patch I have to have seen the band live, that said I think it's pretty cool that I have Guns N Roses, Megadeth, and Anthrax with me being only being 17

 

I want a battle jacket really bad. Only issue is I'd like a denim vest in red and not the typical blue but I cannot find that anywhere, despite having seen it before.

Bolt Thrower are regarded as legends. not underrated at all from what I can tell

 

Hit up the thrift stores, that's where I found mine.

 

I have a denim vest and a few patches, but don't know how to sew, haha. Wish I could at least have my Leviathan and Iron Maiden back patches on it.

 

Yeah I only have the pieces. No idea how to sew, the wife agreed to help on that part lol
