Percussionists who hit trash can lids are generally pretty replaceable.

Yeah, I don’t think it’ll be too hard to replace him in the band.

Blood Incantation was incredible live. Their drummer is unreal.

Very excited to see these guys at MDF in May...I forgot how good this album was for a bit, but I am reminded about it's awesomeness after revisiting it today.

  11. New Amon Amarth single on Wed, I think. Looking forward to it.

I'll ask here, since I know a few of you guys are into the new Angel Du$t record.

Do I drive an hour each way to see Angel Du$t next week or only have to drive 15 minutes each way and see Aborted/Cryptopsy/Benighted?

Seems like the metal show is the easy choice, but I'm digging that AD record and I'm only vaguely familiar with Aborted and Cryptopsy's stuff (although Benighted would be pretty sick)

I'd make the short drive to see Benighted since they've never toured over here to the best of my knowledge whereas Angel Dust is gonna hit the US a few times on this album cycle probably. But that's just one man's opinion.

I can't believe this album came out the year I was born. Way ahead of their time. Not a bad song on it.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. Plus I saw AD last year with ETID but that was before the new record came out. Hopefully they'll be back soon.

I mean... I think I would say Slayer

not my favorite or even close to that but yeah

favorites tho Emperor, Satyricon, Death, Meshuggah, Darkthrone, motW / Kayo Dot, Celtic Frost / Hellhammer, Sigh, Katatonia, Enslaved, DsO, Blut Aus Nord, & c. off the top of my head

edit: after @Nate_Johnson pointed it out, I’d say Black Sabbath - again, not my fav, but def the best & most influential
