I'm supposed to see Cult Leader tonight, but I've been sick for the past 4 days.

But if I can drag my ass into work, I can drag my ass to the show.

 

Stay home from work to rest up for the show.

 

I'm not really familiar with this band but I'm digging this.

Digging these 2 songs, can't wait to hear the full thing on Friday. Too bad I'll be on day 2 of a road trip with my wife and kids and they probably won't appreciate this:

I don't get how that other one, "I Am Above", can be a solid enough mid-period In Flames track but this one can blow so many goddamn chunks. I even liked some of Battles but this is just crap. It sounds like a worse Sonic Syndicate... I really hoped I'd never have to think about them again but there you go.

 

I'm sure lots of you have probably listened to this but I want to be annoying and squee over this album because it's so fucking good. Dodsrit has been an addiction as of late, but a very welcome one.

 

Oof. Stop. I can only get so excited before I lose control and I'm at work...

I'm already going to assume this will be my number AOTY for next year.

 

Yes, but Fronz is such an arse-stain of a human and it saddens me that these releases 'belong' to him in some sense of the word...

 

The one they teased - "I Am Above" - was pretty good; it's at least A Sense Of Purpose-level in quality. This one is just trash.

Ah well, at least the new Soilwork seems promising...

 

Eh. Shitty people own the masters and rights for a lot of records. Considering nothing particularly exciting has been happening with the Eulogy camp and their back catalog for a while now, I'm okay with it if we get reissues of Unearth and Set Your Goals early material among others.

Listening to Gojira for the first time, this shit slaps

 

Gojira is one of those bands that I've been meaning to give a shot for like a decade but for some reason never do. Maybe I'll finally dive in. @cherrywaves, which album/song were you referring to?

 

Gojira is one of my favorite bands of all time

 

L’enfant Sauvage, but perhaps @sophos34 could give you a better entry point

 

I got into them with magma but from mars to sirius is considered their best

 

L'Enfant Sauvage and From Mars To Sirius are solid. The Way Of All Flesh is also worth a go for a first-timer.

 

the way of all flesh is their most underrated record, soooo good

 

gonna download the discography and start working my way through it.
