That's one way to do a music video cheaply. Just scream at a camera in the dark and rake in the $$$.

Parkway Drive has never done anything for me even when I listened to this type of metalcore a lot more...this continues the trend. The lyrics are so edgy. "I just want to cut the fucker down" in reference to god.

Release My Mind, My Garden Grows

Haven't heard the new PWD track yet but hoping it's not like the last record. Ire was pretty bland and had some butt rock feels throughout it which took me out of it. Deep Blue, however, is still probably my favorite metalcore record ever and all their other records are damn good imo. I'm always excited to at least get new material from PWD even if their newer sound doesn't click with me as well. Still crazy to me how big they've gotten over the years.

Parkway Drive are soooooo fun live - probably the most fun I've ever had at a show, and I've seen Power Trip and Iron Reagan

    Random Tuesday morning updates:

-The new Of Feather and Bone is out there and is pretty solid. A bit of a grower for me as the hardcore influence they had on their previous releases is almost nonexistent on this album and a lot of it blended together sonically upon first listen. There are some neat riffs and some cool things going on rhythmically there. The production is good too.

-The new Twitching Tongues is also pretty solid (hasn't leaked yet, just an FYI). It's not going to change your opinion of them if you've listened to them previously so you should have an idea of what you're getting into. If you liked their past releases, it's awesome and more of the same. If you didn't like their past releases, I'd past it. A fun listen for me, but I'm not sure how much staying power it'll have in my rotation as the year progresses.

Such a fun show! last time I saw them I think was the 2015 fall tour with Thy Art Is Murder and In Hearts Wake. Winston always has some crazy good stage presence. Every time they play Delive Me I feel like the entire venue is going to colapse haha

Killing With a Smile is a GREAT record. One of my favorite metalcore releases ever. I like the rest of PWD's stuff, but I feel like it's just gone slightly downhill with each records since their debut.

Parkway Drive are a band I hold in high regard. They have worked very hard to get to the level they are at now. Yeah, they have changed their sound but Winston has made multiple statements that they don’t ever want to remain stagnant in the scene. To each their own.

Americana metal (as they describe it) from Huntsmen, a local band from around here. Apparently, they're on Prosthetic. I'm hearing folk/blues influences combined with doom metal. It's well-written stuff, but the production sounds rough. It's worth a listen if those descriptors intrigue ya though.

That sounds interesting, I’ll have to check it out while I’m at work tomorrow.

  22. Don't know if anyone here listened to him, but Cloudkicker released a one-off song earlier this year. Reminiscent of his Discovery/Beacons/etc. days.

oh my god that new parkway drive song is bad. that corey taylor impression intro might be the worst thing they've ever recorded. and i say this as someone who's enjoyed tracks from all their records so far. overall though they've always been pretty generic metalcore band, they're just better at being a generic metalcore band than most.

Metal and country/folk are my two favorite genres so I jumped right on this haha. I dig it. I agree the production is pretty rough though, feel like I'd enjoy it more if that aspect was improved. Definitely gonna check out more of their stuff and keep an eye on them.

    To be honest, nobody is.
