Ahh dang it! hahaha, but yeah, still awesome news. Buz has shared some clips on his Insta of various guitar riffs, and they all sound incredible.

 

my buddy carl (ex-coffinworm) is in a band called Sacred Leather now and they have a new single/video out and it's a perfectly tongue-in-cheek love letter to 80s metal. RIYL Dawnbringer, Summerlands, High Spirits, early Priest/Maiden/Thin Lizzy/etc, leather, studs, studded leather. Band also features Dustin Boltjes of Skeletonwitch on vocals.

Speaking of podcasts, are there any really good metal podcasts to check out? Where the majority of time is spent listening to metal tunes, showcasing new stuff, etc? I spend a bunch of time on a bus every day, so would like a way to check out new songs/bands I haven't heard of yet, without having to use Spotify

 

Saw Mammoth Grinder last night, and while the set was fairly short (30 minutes), they fucking riiiiippppppeeeeed.

The bass player/singer is a force, which is kind of crazy, seeing as how he drums in Power Trip, but really all 3 of them shined.

They sounded so much better live than on record.

 

Man, "Mammoth Grinder" is a haaaaaarrrrrrdddddd name for a metal band

 

Another one of those always consistent metalcore acts.

 

Under appreciated as well.

 

Checking out Mammoth's latest on Spotify.....it's hard, but really not a fan of the guitars, how muddy/underproduced they sound.

 

Preorders for the new Panopticon double album are up. Release date is April 6th.

I wanna start a damn epic heavy metal band in the vein of Eternal Champion or Visigoth. Writing nerdy fantasy lyrics and playing metal sounds right up my alley

 

Anyone remember this band?

I fucking loved that album. Got to see them play twice. Met the band, they were super cool. Sucks they only made this one record and then called it quits.

 

Happy Monday to y'all. Here's a rad death metal demo I came across this morning from Jersey's Serpent Column. Pretty neat stuff.

 

More death metal for your Monday morning. This band (Noose Rot) features members of Gatecreeper, Skeletonwitch, and Wolvhammer. Sounds a lot like Gatecreeper with a bit more pointed riffing and slightly less guttural, but still tortured vox.

 

This reminds me a bit of current Integrity.
