Dope black metal from Poland with a slight avantgarde lean. I dig.

 

I never really got into Oh Sleeper, but this is in my town and I feel like I should go.

 

Ya should. It’s a really solid debut LP and would be rad to see love for sure

 

I'm gonna download it and give it a spin. The last show at the Door would be cool to see.

 

It’s not as good as Children of Fire, their last effort, but it’s a solid debut and I have a shit ton of nostalgia for it

 

Ah, The Door. Fond memories of attending Oh, Sleeper's $1 Halloween Children of Fire release show. Wish I were 2,000 miles closer.

 

I don't really have nostalgia for "The Door" but I do have nostalgia for "The Gypsy Tea Room" which is what it was called before it was "The Door"

I dunno if it's gonna close for good or not, but I feel like I should at least make it to one more show there before it closes just in case.

NO EXCUSES! I'm a blind person and i turned 30 in sept. Nothing willll stop me from going to a show. I'vde had several canes have accidents in mosh pits. Q100% worth it. Getyting hit kicked pushed shoved around to metal will always be awesome.

 

This is when you know you have made it. Congrats Killswitch Engage!

 

Wish that was coming to the states.

 

Because I have no solid content to contribute to this thread on this fair Monday.

 

It leans towards deathcore territory, so it might not be well received around here, but I just listened to this record and enjoyed it more than I expected...

 

Deathcore is my most listened to sub genre so I'm always open to recs

 

I don't listen to much deathcore anymore, but there are a few bands from back in the day that I'll still jam from time to time (All Shall Perish, mostly)

 

It’s so awesome and a huge achievement for Architects to sell out Ally Pally. I’m so stoked that I’ll be there to see it.

Also, yeah, ditto on deathcore being the most-listened to subgenre for me as well. It was the genre that got me into extreme music pretty much, so that is probably why.

 

Holy shit. Crazy how popular they are in different parts of the world. They're playing at a 1000 cap venue here, and it will probably be half full.

 

To be fair they are from here and have been building their fan base for over a decade now.

Still it is an incredible achievement for a band with their sound to be able to sell out a venue like that. I remember seeing them for the first time at the bottom of a bill with Himsa, Darkest Hour and As I Lay Dying at 1000 cap room. A quick google tells me this was ten years ago geez I feel old.

 

Got my tickets to Cannibal Corpse/Power Trip/Gatecreeper this Friday!

 

Yeah, that's awesome. Really cool to watch bands blow up like that.

 

That sounds like a it’ll be a great night and it’s also reminded me I still need to get Cannibal Corpse/Black Dahlia tickets for their uk tour next year.
