Seeing Converge and Neurosis tonight. Never listened to Neurosis before, but I've hesrd good things about them so I'm excited

why don't you wear earplugs to every show???

 

Because I have yet to wear ones that actually fit comfortably in my ears

 

Neurosis is amazing, if you want to talk about best sludge bands of all time

 

They werr very tight yesterday, though unfortunately I left a bit early. It was almost 11:30 at night and they still had 2-3 more songs to play. My commute home takes anywhere from 45 minutes to am hour and I had an early shift for work in the morning.

Bummed I couldn't catch the rest, but goddamn they were sick. I'm gonna check em out for sure

they're also really good at not changing sound quality but just taking out those high frequencies. on Amazon too, I'm sure you can find them for a little cheaper there or elsewhere

I won't say they're super top quality but I've been using them for like five years now. My first pair died when the wax melted from being left in my car so I tried etymotics based on a recommendation, and I couldn't stand them. Bought another pair of these and I just truly adore them, won't go to a show without them.

They do well enough in all settings, I've worn them at super loud house shows and my ears barely ring afterwards.

 

Awesome. Yeah I had only ever really used ones you could get in a multi-pack for like $5-10. Not good and uncomfortable and muffling the sound

 

I'm not looking for anything too high end. $40-50 is about as much as I'm willing to spend. These seem perfect.

11. Motorbreath/Hit The Lights/Whiplash (a rotation from Kill 'Em All)
12. Sad But True

17. Blackened/Battery/Fight Fire With Fire (appears to rotate between the 3)
18. Nothing Else Matters
19. Enter Sandman

A lot of the new album (which is unfortunate but understandable) and the Black Album, which I can live with - if only to hear anything from their first 4 albums live. I'd love to hear Fight Fire With Fire live.

 

You really can't argue with the new album. It's up there with some of the best stuff in their catalog.

 

They remind me a lot of Disembodied or Martyr AD.
