Very excited to see these guys twice in a couple weeks. Both should be killer shows.

Hopefully it's good. I'll give it a listen, but Sleep might be one of the most boring bands I've ever seen live so I'm a bit skeptical.

 

I'm really liking the new Boris record. They have never "hooked" me but this new record is pretty incredible.

celestial lineage was one of the first black metal albums i ever heard (along with the last installment of the 777 trilogy by blut aus nord) but i think itd make more sense to work up to that since its easily their opus

 

The opening track may be one of my all time favorite black metal tracks.

These last couple of bands you posted definitely cater more towards the black metal/experimental crowd so you should definitely share it there. I am sure someone there will appreciate it.

That being said, I can't really get into Caladan Brood. The vocals are "off" too me. I can't put my finger on it. I'm loving the clean Nordic style vocals though! It's definitely a subset of black metal. It's like if Amon Amarth, Cradle of Filth and Finntroll had an orgy. Lol.

I think you would really like Cnoc N Tursa.

also my unerring love for them stems from the fact that they base all of their lyrics off of the Malazan book series, which is my all time favorite fantasy series

 

I unfortunately did not. I wish I had though. Was listening to the album on Saturday in anticipation/hopes of going, but others things came up. You're absolutely right about them though.
