Man, this was my jam in high school. Totally forgot about it.

 

Got a free ticket to see Megadeth and Meshuggah tomorrow, so damn pumped.

 

Also Cattle Decapitation is solid, arguably one of the best American death metal bands right now.

 

^They're good, but I wouldn't go that far. They're not even the best death metal band on their fall tour.

 

The tombs album was fun but not as good as savage gold.

 

There isn't a ton of people here at the Megadeth show :/

 

I wish the Megadeth/Meshugah tour was coming here, but instead we get Megadeth with the Scorpions.

 

TesseracT is pretty damn good live. Lillake was cool too, drummer was stupid good.

 

I actually decided to grab tickets for Marty Friedman/Scale the Summit rather than Megadeth/Scorpions

They were also 1/4 the price.

 

That's a better show imo

 

It makes sense, considering you got a ticket for free. I think Megadeth fans are starting to fall off the bandwagon.

 

Posting this in metal and hardcore cuz I don't know where it fits, but this is sick. I hear Leeway, Xibalba, and a liiittle bit of Alice In Chains

 

Meshuggah was so dope, holy shit

 

Got to hand it to Megadeth, those dudes can play.

 

I never got into the Scorpions so I'd just personally prefer Meshuggah.

 

Michael Schenker who is Rudolf Schenker's brother in the Scorpions is a ridiculously good heavy metal guitarist and has played in numerous bands along with a bunch of solo records.

I need some tech death recs for this year, I've been so behind.

 

If you've not heard the releases from Cognitive, Artificial Brain, Hideous Divinity, Hour of Penance, definitely get on those. If I'm not mistaken, Origin, Decrepit Birth and Archspire all have new ones coming this year as well as they've released a few singles.

I know Sevendust isn't "metal" per se, but they are one of the hardest working cross over acts out there and I have loved them since day one. This is a really great deal for them.

7D has been producing their own albums under 7bros records for a while right? I wonder what changed to make them sign to another label. Anyway if it's good for them then I am happy, they have been such a staple of constant good music in my life.
