really enjoying the new tunes from returned local shredmasters crimson shadows. very fun and distinct blend of power metal and harder stuff

 

Just bought a ticket to see Blood Incantation in July, I’d totally missed that announcement and good metal bands hardly ever come here. Fucking stoked as hell man

This album was a staple in my teens

 

so that draugveil album cover is definitely AI, and I'm fairly sure the music is too, or is at least AI assisted, and there's talk that the lyrics are chatgpt generated.

Two shows this past weekend. Last night was Inferi and Vitriol who were fucking sick, as were their supporting acts (except for the opener band whose frontman kept throwing water on the crowd from the bottles he had just drank from, that was uncomfortable). Greylotus I had never heard of and they were a pleasant surprise.

The previous show was supposed to be Devourment with Distant, but my partner and I suspect that was an error on Bandsintown because the day of the show, Devourment were mysteriously off the bill. No talk of why on their social media either and none of the bands performing said anything either. Was massively bummed not to see them since they were the whole reason we were going, but I guess we got some shit turned around at some point.

Having said that, one of the supporting bands for Distant had the idea of throwing a shitload of pool noodles into the pit for people to beat the shit out of each other with and you know damned well I capitalized on that.
