Just passing by to thank Refused for turning me onto Oranssi Pazuzu on their What's In Your Bag video. Had never heard a mixture like this before, I mean I hear shades of prog, black and psych but I can't think of anything that sounds like them? They can get atmospheric, ominous (love the use of keyboards in particular) or even groovy as well. Some websites describe them as avant-garde metal, but I also find their music to be surprisingly accessible despite that tag. Or that's just me being that hypnotized, as it's hitting me so hard! I may have found my new favorite metal band.

 

Like this one is nuts. At some point it sounds almost like an explosion just went off, and what remains in the background is scarily close to what having tinnitus feels like for me. The sound design on their stuff is wild.
