I'm never going to shit on someone for wanting to be terminally less online even if his name is straight from the display names on Myspace.

 

I’m a big fan of Ghost so stumbled upon Dogma today through TikTok and love them so far. Well worth checking out if you are a Ghost fan.

 

Swedish death metal from former members of Dark Tranquility, The Halo Effect, Tiamat, and Katatonia:

 

Obviously I knew of them, but been sleeping on Acacia strain I guess. I think I heard 1 or 2 songs that I didn't vibe with, but just went back through 3 of their albums - Step Into The Light / Wormwood and Slow Decay (in that order) and damn... wth. Love them, and way different than I had in my mind. I think I remembered them as more 'hardcore' in the vocal style (like Hatebreed - don't like their vocals where it's more of a yell than a scream) but yeah - the grooves and headbanging moments are nonstop.

Never seen them live so just got a ticket for their upcoming tour with bodysnatcher. Hell yeah. Sounds like they're still good live and not over the hill yet.

 

Far from it. Better than most new acts.

They’ve become one of my favorite bands of all time. Step into the light, gravebloom, failure will follow, 3750, wormwood, slow decay, it comes in waves, the dead walk….all bangers

Ulcerate absolutely RIPPED. Packed venue too. “Stare Into Death and Be Still” is a giant of a tune

That intro riff is almost the same as the intro riff in “we hold these truths…”

and I’m loving every second of it. There was a recent resurgence of MySpace era deathcore. Girl of glass is one worth checking out.
