It really feels like we all lost our cool grandpa today, I’m happy he got to say goodbye via the concert before he passed at least.

I can't for the life of me find it on this site, but I seem to remember the singer making fun of Christians who were going through their deconstruction phase, which is something I've had to reckon with in the past and have actively witnessed many people in my life go through. I thought it was in the Christian Music thread but I can't find it.

From like 10 years ago, but here's members of Artificial Brain, Krallice, and Miasmatic Necrosis playing some death metal the right way.

Could it have been someone else? Because that definitely doesn't seem like something Schuylar would do.

I always forget that HIL is/was a Christian band. A devout ex of mine LOVED Showbread, like implored me to listen to them kinda thing. She was also a massive homophobe and would later vote for Trump and proudly tell that she did to take back the rainbow from the gay community and so she could talk normal in public again (bigoted). She also was proud that she worked like 60-70 hour weeks and mocked people who didn’t. Just a complete crazy person all around.

HIL was never actually a Christian band, they were just on Solid State so a lot of people assumed they were. I know they toured with a lot of T&N/Solid State bands back in the day (including Showbread) so that led to that association as well.

I remember Chevelle CDs ended up in C28 stores which definitely confused me at the time
