the Deadguy album is not bad by any means but it's a weird consensus pick for a group of metal writers. early metalcore is the new classic rock!
I'm pretty sure the classic rock station my dad listens to doesn't play Deadguy alongside the Moody Blues and Led Zeppelin.
I mean that for a Certain Type Of Person this sort of music scratches a nostalgic itch the way CCR does for boomers.
I have a soft spot for Whitesnake, fan of their albums and David Coverdale may have been cheesy at times but a hell of a singer and performer live and funny as fuck too! Respect to him for going out on his own terms and not trying to make that farewell tour money, he definitely earned his retirement big time.
