I've been sick for a few days too but feel great today. Was also afraid that the show was gonna get rained out but things are looking good. Everything's coming up Milhouse.

The show was incredible. Every band riiiiiped. Only complaint was the snare tone for 200 Stab Wounds. It literally sounded like St. Anger. Apparently the snare broke, but it must have been immediately as soon as they started playing because the entire set was just ping ping ping ping.

I was right up front. Alex was literally using my shoulder/head as support so he could stand up on the monitors. Smoked weed with the Frozen Soul guys. Such a fun night.

Heard good things about that Spiritworld album

 

it's extremely good

 

So after waking up with one of their songs stuck in my head, I went through their Spotify page and learned First Signs Of Frost released a new album earlier this year. I had no idea they were still active! If that name rings a bell to someone, they're a djent-y post-hardcore/metal band from the UK that used to have Daniel Tompkins, singer from Skyharbor and now TesseracT, as their frontman. He left the band before their 2009 debut came out, and so they became inactive right after. They regrouped with a second singer for an EP in 2017 and they've apparently got yet another one for this release.

I still have a soft spot for their debut which I think was featured on ap.net at the time.

 

Really digging this Spiritworld record.

This is pretty damn sick

 

It's not terrible, but it's nothing exciting. Plus it doesn't help that their tour next year is with fucking terrible bands.
