Might be the most underwhelming release of the year so far for me. I was expecting more, and a lot of this just doesn't hit like the material on their split with Primitive Warfare did.

 

New Cave In is good, but way, way too long. Coulda cut that down by 4-5 tracks and had all an killer, no filler LP.

I'm intrigued. But the only person who I could think of who would be an appropriate counterpart on the same level as Riley would be Jason Tarpey from Iron Age/Eternal Champion given their connection to Power Trip. Excited to see what's next from them.

 

What if they got Keith Buckley?

 

I get that given the runtime, but there's not anything on there I would consider filler.

With that being said, if the album they released was just the first 7 tracks it would've been a killer album still.

 

I suggested the same thing to @Nate_Johnson recently.

I also wouldn't be opposed to them having a collection of different vocalists lend their talents.

 

Yeah, if there were throw away tracks, absolutely, but every track is a banger.

Sure. He was just the first metal vocalist that came to mind that isn’t in a full time-ish band at the moment
