I saw that Burton article about Linkin Park and thought "Are they recording without him?"

    Did you know?

The music video for Metallica’s song “One” was played so much on MTV they ended up buying the rights to the movie “Johnny Got His Gun” because they were paying so much for the royalties?!

Threw on At The Gates - To Drink From The Night Itself and yea I still love it despite the mostly indifferent or average reviews I've read on it

ready & stoked for new album The Nightmare Of Being in july, premise sounds bleak and I am down

Been revisiting The Contortionist these past few days. Last two albums are so good.

I wonder if AILD is still even a band, now that Nick Hipa isn't in it anymore

DEFINITELY still find myself whisper-screaming "TO DRINK FROM THE NIGHT ITSEEEELF" when nobody else is around at times. It was a good album.

Really stoked on new At the Gates. Especially since they're working with Jens Borgen/Fascination Street Studios again. Much as I like To Drink From the Night Itself, the production was one aspect I thought was lacking.

As much as I chuckle at that style of meme I do also lowkey groan at the same time only because I've seen that same joke be recycled 476546346583756385482 times on metal meme pages.

If Clutch and Mastodon formed a band, I imagine it would sound like this.

this is pretty much the hardcore and metal subreddits described to a T

perhaps it's my fault for reading reddit

Yeah. Most music related subreddits without some pretty extensive moderation are terrible. I can only see so much of the same clump of branches or broken leather chair meme before I shrug and move on. Which is why I actually appreciate r/metal's style of things a lot. Between the blacklist and the relatively rigid moderation, it's actually a nice place to discover a lot of new music which suits my preferences well.

Or I could just be old and hate everything now? That's probably more likely.
