Here's a dope split between some Texas grind legends and an Aussie brutal deathgrind band that I hadn't heard before this split but now quite enjoy.

 

The Best Metal Albums of 2020

 

One of those rare lists where I can't really argue with anything on it based on what I've heard about the acts on there even though I've probably only heard about half of those albums.

 

I like the PLF side. Nice blend of thrash and grind.

 

PLF has consistently been one of the best grind bands in the world for the last 15 years or so, IMO. Unfortunately, they're pretty content to stay underground putting out splits like this and full-lengths every five years or so they haven't really broken out. Oh well, just as long as they keep the hits coming.

 

Officially comes out 12/14 but is available now. Some more black metal.

Good tracks although I feel like you would get more of a response in the post-hardcore/metalcore thread. Never thought of EITD as a “metal” band.

ETID is metal as fuck. I don't care.

 

ETID is more metal than half the stuff that gets posted in this thread.

As someone who just posted a grind split you know the answer.

 

I thought it was Atreyu all this time!

 

I'd consider both all the mentioned bands cut from the same adjacent cloth in terms of sound (PLF/ETID/Incinerated all being equal).

ETID's more metal in terms of ethos though...the bands on the grind split are more punk, but that's just me.

Do I need to post the new Attack Attack! single in here to shift the balance?
