What's everyone's 2020 Wrapped look like on Spotify? Metal is my 4th most listened to genre this year, which makes sense because this year sucked

although being stuck at home I’ve been listening to waaaayyyy more vinyl this year

Melodic Metalcore was my highest listened-to genre, Anthrax was my top artist, and apparently Spotify thinks "voidgaze" is a genre.

Post Metal was my only Metal genre.

I don’t use Spotify so no fun stats for me

 

Only one song from Ohms made it to my top 100 playlist. I didn't listen to it as much as I thought I would

I don't use a streaming service either, but top plays of the year would be strange for me, because outside of maybe 5 records, I haven't really revisited many things all that much. Always trying to keep up with new releases/podcasts. I wanted to change that this year and spend more time with the things I like and less time trying to listen to everything that comes out but que sera sera

 

My most listened to heavy album of the year is Underneath, by a distance. Swallowing The Rabbit Whole and You And You Alone are in my top five most played songs.

They’re a band I feel like I should be into, but their vocalist is way too histrionic for me. On the plus side, at least they don’t sound like a Menzingers clone anymore.
