those first three soulfly records, when they were still nu-metal(ish?), never did anything for me but everything since then has never been anything less than "decent" imo. their last couple albums especially have really stuck with me.

and, because we're talking about sepultura, anyone who writes off the post-max era is missing tf out. derrick green is a fuckin solid as hell vocalist, and while their output immediately after he joined was a little spotty, everything since Dante XXI has been good.

Quick question, who gave this record permission to go as hard as it does? Jesus, riffs on riffs on riffs and that guitar tone.

The P.L.F. tracks on this slap. Last Days of Humanity...does not appeal to me. Lets just put it that way.

What about First Days of Humanity?

Heard of them, but never listened until now. I already fuck with them more than Last Days, but I still hate warbly, pitch-shifted vocals. It's where a lot of goregrind loses me.

Oh god damnit I had no clue Nervosa had (sort of) split up. Always seems to happen at a disheartening/suspicious frequency whenever an amazing band headed by women breaks through in the heavy music scene. These guys, Cerebral Bore, G.L.O.S.S., and so on.

Yeah, it seems like the guitarist who started the band is planning to keep it going with a new drummer, bassist, and vocalist so we'll see.

Copy and pasted from the Facebook group:

One of my favorite crossover acts that are highly underrated is Cleveland’s Ringworm. Birthed from the same scene that gave us Integrity and sharing many similarities in sound. Even the only original member and primary songwriter, vocalist Human Furnace, reminds me so much of Dwid. The band have had an incredible career that started in 1998 and are still writing music. Blending a multitude of sounds including hardcore, thrash, black metal and black n’ roll, it was extremely hard for me to nail down 15 songs that capture the band but I present Heavy Ultimate Ringworm!

Apologies if this has been posted here before, but this debut MLP from HAD is amazing. Straight up void sucking death metal from Copenhagen FFO Phrenelith, Hyperdontia.

AC/DC has a signature sound they haven’t changed their whole career, not surprised the new stuff sounds the same.

They are solid band and have nothing to prove. I’m glad that are still writing.
