Opposite December is definitely still my favorite album from Poison The Well, but this week secured Tear from the Red as my second favorite. Band rules.

Glad you like that Departure Chandelier album, it fucking slays. This is the year of Nuclear War Now, with this, Cenotaphe, and Blue Hummingbird on the Left releases kicking ass plus a new Volahn album coming out. Never Surrender Fest. Them opening a physical store in Oakland, Eastern Front Records. Glad that one of the best underground labels is kicking ass and taking names this year.

I just like the overall aesthetic of Departure Chandelier, I'm not super keen on the actual album. I'm trying to get over the absurd delay on the vocals for Blue Hummingbird but it's so over the top lol

Yeah, I would definitely put their Trustkill days at the top, followed by Ferret and then You Come Before You. It’s a good record but feels “off”. It makes sense because it was for a major label when they were catching the scent of the success of some indie bands. The same thing happened to Cave In.

All poison the well albums are better than 95% of metalcore albums

ETID announced a show in Syracuse at a venue that is a hole in the wall. Might go.

Syracuse is a bit north of me, decent drive for sure. But I had plenty of friends go to school there and used to make the drive every once in a while.

Fuck that's one for the books. We're Down Till We're Underground wasn't even released yet, Lamb of God didn't headline and Laid To Rest hadn't been written. Eighteen Visions hadn't gone cock rock. Hopesfall was an opener. Insanity.

Best show ever at Lost Horizon was when all these California bands merged for a big show and it just happened to have every member of the then lineup of First Blood. All of them said: “Hey, you want to hear some new Music?!” Played a full set!
