Apparently it's already gone... And it was $80 anyway, for what looks like a $20 bong.

 

They played the new single live when I saw them back in February, and my singular thought afterwards was, "This is going to be my album of the year". So far, the studio version of Isolation seems to lend a lot of credence towards that theory. God damn, it's good.

 

for some reason when i go through gojira's discog i always overlook the way of all flesh. listening now for the first time in forever, and have only heard it a handful of times total, but its so sick

idk why but the "chaotic hardcore" tag has always bugged me? it's just such an awkward sounding name people came up with so they wouldn't have to call bands like baptists or all pigs must die "metalcore".

i feel like at this point the word metalcore doesn't have nearly the kind of negative connotations it once had though.

 

I could've sworn people just used "crust" to refer to bands like APMD but I might be mistaken.

Also, yeah, I agree - it's still certainly not a fondly considered genre by any means but it also probably doesn't make other metalheads projectile vomit the way it used to.

 

Haven't listened to depravity in some time...it's so hard to do brutal death well, I think they're one of the better bands.
